About

My Ph.D work was on the Physical and Clinical studies associated with intracavitary treatment of Carcinoma of Uterine Cervix. This includes primarily the dosimetry of Selectron MDR (Cs-137 source) system. Published an article in PMB on the comparison of computerized dosimetry with film dosimetry. Made few presentations on "Brachytherapy dosimetry with Selectron", mainly for the treatment of carcinoma cervix. Later, I was very much involved with HDR Brachytherapy with Ir-192 source for Ca.Prostate. Made a publication comparing the dosimetry of IMRT with HDR Brachytherapy for the treatment of Ca.Prostate, in terms target coverage, conformity index, homogeneity index, dose to rectum and bladder. I have used Radionics and Brainlab radiosurgery systems for the intracranial lesions from 2000-2009. Since 2009, I was actively involved with the planning and dosimetry of SRS and SBRT, exclusively with Cyberknife, till March 2022. I am very familiar with the tracking methods used with Cyberknife. In March 2022, I have come out of Apollo Hospitals in Chennai, India, to take care of my personal issues. Presently, I am on my own freelance practice.
